Via Vinera
When a Wine Label Becomes a Work of Art: The Via Vinera Story
There’s a moment in every great collaboration when craft and vision align perfectly. For us at Dagaprint, that moment came when we held the finished Via Vinera labels in our hands for the first time This is the story of how a wine label was reborn and how we played our part in making it real.
A Label That Needed to Find Itself
Every brand has a beginning. For Via Vinera, the original label carried good intentions but struggled to express them. The fonts pulled in different directions. The composition felt crowded. The bottle, the capsule, the paper—they existed as separate pieces rather than a unified whole.
The wine inside was premium. The label outside didn’t tell that story.
That’s when the Labelmaker stepped in with a vision: don’t erase the heritage, elevate it.
The Art of Getting It Right
The redesign wasn’t about starting over. It was about listening to what the brand wanted to say and giving it the right voice.
The Labelmaker chose typography with intention. The brand name now sits in Bolyar Pro: the only Bulgarian typeface designed specifically for wine and spirits. It’s sharp, confident, unmistakably premium. The varietal names flow in Caravela Titling Unicase, a font that brings quiet elegance without competing for attention.
The vintage illustration? No longer floating awkwardly on the surface. Now it’s woven into the design, balanced by strong vertical lines that guide your eye naturally from top to bottom.
And for the first time, the label, the capsule, and the bottle speak the same language.
Where Our Craft Comes In
A beautiful design on screen is one thing. Making it come alive in your hands is another. At Dagaprint, we don’t just print labels. We build experiences you can touch.
For Via Vinera, we layered technique upon technique to create something that feels as good as it looks:
- We sculpted the surface. Multi-level embossing lifts the Via Vinera name and the iconic double-key emblem into three dimensions. Deep debossing carves definition into the colored band and the elegant frame that stretches to the label’s edge.
- We added brilliance. Premium silver hot foil from Kurz catches the light on the seal and brand name: a modern gleam against vintage textures.
- We shaped the edges. A custom die-cut gives the label a perforated, postage-stamp border. It’s a small detail that says everything: this is crafted, not manufactured.
- We chose materials that matter. The paper, the ink, the finish, every element was selected to make the label feel like something worth keeping.
When you pick up a bottle of Via Vinera, your fingertips discover the story before you read a single word.
The Transformation
What was once fragmented is now whole. What felt dated now feels timeless.
The new Via Vinera label doesn’t shout for attention on the shelf. It doesn’t need to. It simply belongs there: confident, elegant, unmistakably premium.
This is what happens when great design meets expert printing. When vision meets craft. When everyone involved cares about getting it right.
We’re proud to have printed these labels. The design brilliance belongs entirely to the Labelmaker – his eye for typography, their understanding of balance, their commitment to elevating brands. Our job was to honor that vision with precision, texture and care.
Together, we helped Karabunar Winery transform Via Vinera from a label with potential into a label that delivers on every promise.
Every bottle deserves a label that speaks to the quality inside. Whether you’re reimagining an existing brand or launching something new, Dagaprint brings the technical expertise and artisan touch to make your vision tangible.
