My Summer Chill
My Summer Chill: A label that feels like endless summer
When you hold a bottle of My Summer Chill from Château De Val, you can almost feel the sun. This Chardonnay & Riesling 2024 captures the essence of a slow summer afternoon – bright, warm, and effortless. The design reflects that same feeling: simple, elegant, and human.
For Château De Val, the Labelmaker wanted to create a label that doesn’t shout for attention but speaks softly, one that connects emotionally from the very first glance. That’s the philosophy behind what he calls Expressive Wine Label Design: packaging that tells a story not just through color or composition, but through touch, detail and feeling.
Expressive wine label printing at its finest:
The design concept by the Labelmaker centers around a handwritten “My” – simple, personal, and full of character. To preserve that feeling, we applied a raised tactile varnish with small, natural dents, creating a hand-drawn texture that you can actually feel under your fingertips.
Behind it lies a topographic relief pattern, softly embossed to evoke the landscape and terroir of Château De Val. Using roof embossing, we achieved crisp edges and refined tactile structure, details that bring emotional depth through precision.
The craft behind the print:
Bringing this label to life required a blend of artistry and technology.
At Dagaprint, we focused on every element that could enhance the emotional impact of the design from paper selection to finishing.
Printing highlights:
- Roof embossing for dimensional precision
- Raised varnish for tactile personality
- Subtle relief pattern representing the terroir
- Silver hot foil for the Château emblem
- High-definition color control for clarity and consistency
Each layer contributes to what we call premium expressive printing – craftsmanship that doesn’t just impress the eye but connects through touch.
Unveiling layers of craftsmanship:
The result is a label that radiates freshness and authenticity. My Summer Chill feels light and effortless, yet every detail is intentional, from the fine matte paper to the way the foil catches the light.
For us at Dagaprint, projects like this are reminders that printing is often an emotion turned into texture. Because when design and print work in harmony, the result isn’t just packaging. It’s an experience.
