Nestled in the serene landscapes near Karnobat, Bulgaria, Hands & Friends Winery brings to life wines that inspire joy and camaraderie. This boutique winery envisioned a transformation for their wine label while preserving its charming character. Teaming up with the acclaimed designer, the Labelmaker, they embarked on a journey to reinvigorate their label design.

Honoring the charm of the original label, the Labelmaker faced an exciting challenge. The mission was to craft a label that encapsulated the emotional ties between the winery, their customers, and the exquisite wine itself.

Guided by passion and the spirit of connection, the Labelmaker enhanced the label with delightful illustrations. These additions mirrored the spirit of the original design, while retaining endearing, unrefined elements. The winery’s logo took center stage, thanks to strategically incorporated white space in the label design.

At Dagaprint, our challenge was to manifest this design into a tangible label. Opting for subtlety, our team ensured the design’s essence wasn’t lost. We accentuated the black outlines with a transparent relief varnish and added a touch of elegance with warm gold foil on selected accents. A pleasing radial microtexture added depth, enriching the overall label design.

This label design journey culminated in a harmonious blend of creativity and artisanal charm. The newly minted label took its place on an eco-glass bottle of captivating burgundy hue, sealed with a sleek silver screw cap. This collaboration between Hands & Friends Winery, the Labelmaker, and Dagaprint celebrates the fusion of winemaking, artistic label design, and precise printing, each a vital ingredient in this successful label transformation.
